The man with the vision
I’ve always had a complicated relationship with modern planning apps. Despite their sleek interfaces and endless features, they all felt the same. I found myself yearning for the tangible satisfaction of writing things down in my notebook. But I soon realized that while my method worked for me, it fell short for others and it could be better. I wanted to create something that would bridge the gap between the structured world of planning and the spontaneity that so many crave.
I started interviewing people from all walks of life, students juggling classes, busy professionals, and parents managing a chaotic household. Everyone had their own unique approach to planning, but a common theme emerged: the struggle to balance structure with flexibility.
That’s when the idea for Dayout was born. Imagine an app that caters to both planners and non-planners alike—a platform where those who thrive on meticulous organization can lay out their day using a 24-hour time-block format, while others can effortlessly discover plans that resonate with their interests.
